Intranet-is a network designed to provide information within a company or an organization, it functions much as the internet does for the world.

Streaming audio- is a technique that enables sound to be heard before the complete file has been loaded onto the users computer.

Plug in- is a small software program that plugs into a larger application to provide more capabilities. It is often used to create dynamic HTML.

State of the art- Is a term used to indicate the most current hardware or software, which is generally also the most expensive.

Streaming video- Is a technique that enables the viewing of a movie before it has completely loaded and without placing as many demands on computer resources.

Cookie- Is computer code that stores information about a visitor to a web site.

Dynamic HTML- Is any of several software functions that enable web pages to be interactive.

Client side access- Refers to dyamic HTML code that stores inforamtion on the users computer.

Server side access- Refers to dynamic HTML vode that storeinformation on the server.

Firewall- Is blocking software thast prevents certain actions from occuring within a server. A firewall often blocks access to files without a password.

Web hosting server- Is the computer in which a web site is stored and that is accessed whenever someone enters the sites address in a browser.
